DaBaby Believes He’s On Same Level As Jay-Z, Nas, Kendrick Lamar & J. Cole

DaBaby compares himself to Nas, Kendrick Lamar and others.

This week, DaBaby made headlines through his bars as well as his controversial antics. The rapper reportedly is under investigation after getting into a physical altercation with DaniLeigh’s brother Brandon Bills. Just after the incident, DaBaby’s new LA Leakers freestyle was released, where he spits flames in 2 piece offering over Gunna, Future, and Young Thug’s “Pushin’ P.”

The North Carolina rapper now shares a clip from the upcoming interview with Power 106’s Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk, where he suggests that his lyrics are on par with the greats of the game, including Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z and J. Cole.

“I like to turn people up,” he said. “I like to make people feel good but at the same time, you gon’ have to go get Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole for me, ni#*a. Nas, Jay-Z. You gotta go get them ones.”

The tape, which was published on The Hip Hop Wolf’s Instagram page, was received with criticism in the comments section by fans who do not feel he is worthy of being included in such discussions. At least not yet.

Most people would agree that DaBaby’s latest releases have suffered from a considerable drop in quality. The rapper burst into the scene in 2019 with a bang, but his formula rapidly became stale. His followers, on the other hand, continue to buy each of his releases, keeping him on his toes whenever he decides to drop anything new.
